Looks Like We Have A Back Up Planet If We Need One
One of the really scary things about this pandemic is we don't know what we don't know. We can assume that some if not many businesses will not survive which will have an effect on the local economy which in turn will effect the tax base which will in turn effect basic services. Then there's the effect on our food supply which may cause shortages and you know what happens after that. I'm not saying total destruction of the planet but just in case here's something.
It seems that NASA has discovered another earth-sized planet in a habitable zone of another sun. It's been named Kepler 1649c and it's in a "Goldilocks Zone" which means it's not too hot and it's not too cold and could, theoretically, support human life. The good news it's the most similar to earth's size and temperature. The bad news is it's 300 light years from earth. But, ya know, it's there if we need it.
