Soaring Eagle Casino is betting outdoor gatherings will be possible in Michigan by July as they present Megadeth and Lamb of God live in concert.

Live, in-person concerts may be back in a big way soon in Mount Pleasant. Soaring Eagle Casino, run by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe has scheduled three major events in May and July. Country singer and current American Idol judge Luke Bryan is on the calendar for May 29 and Miranda Lambert is booked for July 24, but rock fans should circle July 10 on the calendar as Megadeth is set to headline the outdoor stage.

Megadeth

Since he got famously sacked from Metallica in the early days, Dave Mustaine has recorded fourteen albums under the Megadeth banner. Considered one of metal's "big four" along with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, Megadeth has sold more than 38 million records worldwide.

Lamb of God

Formed in the '90s, LoG is considered to be a leader of the new wave of American Heavy Metal. For the past 15+ years, they have been stretching the boundaries of rock.

Trivium

These guys are best known for the song "Betrayer," that was nominated for a Best Metal Performance Grammy in 2019.

In Flames

The heavy metal scene in Sweden is unbelievable, and In Flames was a pioneer in Swedish death metal and melodic death metal.

Of course, everyone is wondering about the COVID numbers and if live events will actually happen or not. It is worth noting that as it is on tribal land, the casino does have some power to make independent decisions. So, dig up that old Vic Rattlehead t-shirt and prepare for a road trip and the return of live concerts as Megadeth plays Soaring Eagle Casino this Summer.
