Metallica Concert Coming to 10 Michigan Drive-Ins: Where to Watch

Here are the Southwest Michigan drive-in theaters that will be screening Metallica's concert film on August 29, and the link you need to get tickets.

They haven't played together since last September's S&M2 shows, but Lars, James, Kirk and Robert have regrouped and are rehearsing for a Metallica concert. The show will be filmed and screened at drive-ins across the country, including 10 across the state of Michigan and 3 theaters here in Southwest Michigan.

The idea of showing concerts at drive-in movie theaters was floated early on in the pandemic and has been well-executed with a live show from Garth Brooks and an evening of music form Blake Shelton and friends. Metallica will be the first rock band to be featured in the Encore Drive-In Nights series. The concert will be pre-recorded and shown one night only on August 29. A "special guest performance" by Three days Grace will open the night.
