Michigan’s Deepest Fear Makes Perfect Sense
A security company scoured Google analytics and found the deepest, darkest fear of each state. Michigan's biggest fear occurs every time you get behind the wheel of your car.
The folks at YourLocalSecurity.com did the deep dive into Google searches from August 2018 until August 2019 to find out what Michiganders are really afraid of and the answer will shock none of you.
We have Trypophobia.
Nope, it's not the fear of trying. It's fear of holes. Deep holes. Like the ones on my street, that can take out a tire or a tie rod in an instant.
According to the article, the fear of holes is a relatively new phenomenon:
Fear of holes—or trypophobia—had the highest search volume of any term we analyzed, taking first place as this year’s most popular phobia. This fear of small clusters of holes seems to have skyrocketed in search popularity recently, perhaps thanks to media mentions everywhere from TV shows to iPhone descriptions to science articles.
Small clusters of holes -- like THESE maybe!!!!
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If one of the local haunted attractions wants to scare the bejeezuz out of any of us, they'd do well to make us walk through a street of deep potholes. Yikes!
