Two Michiganders are opening the first gourmet pizza vending machines in the state. PizzaForno is a Canadian company of automated pizza ovens that cook pizza in less than three minutes.

Here's how PizzaForno works:

  1. Locate a PizzaForno.
  2. Order your pizza by touchscreen on the PizzaForno. It will be ready to eat in three minutes. You can select the “cold pizza” option when ordering to bake it at home.
  3. Enjoy!

The menu offers Meat Lovers, BBQ Chicken, Pepperoni, Honey Chevre, Hawaiian, Cheeseburger, Four Cheese Blend and Vegetarian.

Wanna try a pizza vending machine? You're gonna have to go to Jackson. Mlive states the first location is expected to launch on March 24 near Martini Spa and Lounge at 100 S. Cooper St. The vendor will be outside and available 24/7. A second location will open later this month as a standalone unit at 1319 E. Michigan Ave.

Tim Ekpo and Adam Page own and operate the PizzaForno locations in Jackson. Page said in a news release,

"This concept is so new and unique, which is why we’re excited to provide our community with a new gourmet pizza option that’s always fresh and available 24/7."

The price range for the 12 inch pizzas range from $10 to $13, dependent on the toppings.
