In celebration of the 25th anniversary of hit animated television show South Park, Comedy Central has booked a one-night-only concert featuring Primus, the band who wrote the show's intro theme songs, and Ween.

The event is set for Aug. 10 at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado and will feature a special appearance by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. "We’re so excited to go home and play at Red Rocks, a place that’s been known for hosting the most legendary artists and musicians. Until now," the two commented (via Consequence).

Over the course of its 20-plus seasons (Season 25 is currently airing), South Park has welcomed quite a lot of rock and heavy metal artists on its show. In one episode, Eric Cartman had to purge the town of a hippie infestation by blasting Slayer after drilling through a crowd. All of Korn appeared in an earlier episode that spoofed Scooby-Doo Where Are You! and Dying Fetus' music even made it into a Season 23 scene where their music was played by Stan Marsh's death metal band Crimson Dawn.

There's plenty more instances of the worlds of heavy music and South Park colliding, but, in regards to the summer concert, the focus will be all on Primus and Ween, who both starred in the memorable Season 2 episode "Chef Aid." The episode, which also featured a number of other stars (Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, DMX, Joe Strummer, Rancid, Meat Loaf), also found Ween contribute the original song "The Rainbow."

A registration period for tickets is open now through March 20 at 11:59PM MT / 9:59PM ET at this location.
