Recall Alert #2: Fresh Express Salads From Walmart

For the last 5 years or so I've been eating the pre-packaged salads from various sources.  I prefer the lettuce, meat, add-ins and dressing all in one including the fork.  Some have been better than others but I've always thought about the possibility of contamination.  It didn't stop me from eating them but I did think about it.

An alert has been issued for some of these packaged salads; specifically the Fresh Express Sunflower Crisp chopped Salad Kit which are sold at Walmart stores.  The Centers For Disease Control has revealed that these items have been linked to an E Coli outbreak and has recommended that they be thrown away immediately.  Look to see if your package has UPC 0 71279 30906 4 beginning with lot code Z, and a best-before date up to and including 12/7/10.  For more specific information from the CDC you can click HERE.
