I still find it amazing, and also troubling, that with a flip of a switch we find ourselves doing things we never thought of until this pandemic.  Sure we've had to make adjustments and concessions before but not like this.

Most of the focus right now is on face masks and, just to be clear, I agree if private businesses require masks.  I look at it this way: "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Mask, No Service".

Let's turn our attention to hand sanitizer.  For years I've been openly critical of people, especially moms, who were constantly making their children use hand sanitizer.  My theory, which has some basis in medical science, is that all of the disinfectant reduced the strength of the immune system causing kids to get sick more easily and more often.

My contention is you have to let them get some germs so the system has something to fight and thereby gets stronger.  I still believe this to be true.  Let the kids be kids and get dirty now and then.

Fast forward to now.  What am I doing several times a day when I'm not at home?  I'm using hand sanitizer.  Desides protecting me from coronavirus, I haven't gotten a cold which I usually do by Spring.  Maybe I should be less dirty.  Wait...Nevermind.

Now to the recall.  Along with toilet paper first then wipes and hand sanitizer, we were finding it hard to get what we needed.  This produced the need to get whatever we could and use products we hadn't used before.

If one of those products is All Clean Hand Sanitizer, Moisturizer and Disinfectant, nearly 19,000 one liter bottles have been recalled due to concerns the mixture contains methanol.  According to the FDA, substantial exposure to methanol can cause, nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision and more serious conditions including death.
