He's definitely an American icon.  Not only for his acting prowess and the roles he's played but also for the impact he and his brand has had on the film industry, the environment and products.  For men of a certain age, the Robert Redford "look" was not only one to admire but also emulate.  Up until the last few years it was hard to pin down exactly what one had to do to get that look; until now.

The word came down on freep.com that the first Robert Redford Sundance store in Michigan will be opening this year.  The developers of The Village of Rochester Hills, announced yesterday that Sundance Catalog has leased 4,126 square feet of space at the shopping center.  Some of Sundance Catalog's items include clothing, jewelry and home decorating.

Sundance is the retail arm of Redford’s nonprofit Sundance Institute, an organization that actively advances the work of independent storytellers in film and theater. It also supports the annual Sundance Film Festival.  Sundance Catalog was founded in 1989 to promote the works of artists and craftspeople from across the country and around the world.
