Last year we were first told that Toys R Us in Portage and elsewhere around the country would only be open for the holidays and that it was due to filing chapter 11 bankruptcy.  Then we found out that the company would be closing 400 stores nationwide but our location in Portage was not one of them.

Well, now comes a report from The Wall  Street Journal that the company first decided it would go the restructuring route during the chapter 11 but now says that isn't feasible and will liquidate all of it's stores.  WSJ says the announcement could come as soon as Monday as there is a bankruptcy hearing in Virginia.  Get the WSJ story by clicking HERE.
