If you are looking for a day trip to see something different in Michigan, head to the thumb and check out the Swinging Bridge in Croswell.

The only pedestrian suspension bridge I ever remember is the bridge that Indiana Jones cuts in half in, "Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom".   That thought had crossed my mind when I recently had a chance to see this bridge.

The bridge itself is located in Croswell, which is about 45 minutes Northwest of Port Huron.   It crosses the Black River and lets pedestrians cross over to Riverbend Park.

I probably would have never heard of this bridge if it wasn't for my wife, who was at one time from the area.    It's another one of the many interesting sites in the State of Michigan.   It is worth checking out if you ever make it up to the thumb.
