Steely Dan Co Founder Guitars and Gear Up For Auction In October

David Gilmour recently sold many of his legendary guitars at auction.  Another Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician will soon have guitars and gear for sale. 

According to Rolling Stone, guitars and gear from the late Walter Becker of Steely Dan will be sold at an upcoming auction by Julien's Auctions.

Walter Becker died in 2017 and his band mate, Donald Fagen continues touring with Steely Dan.  Besides his work with Steely Dan, Becker was also a producer and released two solo albums, "11 Tracks of Whack" and "Circus Money".

The auction will be on October 18th and 19th and will feature many of Becker's guitars and bass guitars including his 57 Fender Duo Sonic. The guitar was featured in the liner notes for the album,  "Aja".

The auction will also include sound equipment, recording gear, amps and more used by Becker.

I have been a fan of Steely Dan for as long as I can remember and would love to be able to purchase something from this auction.   I doubt I will have any chance of owning anything unless I win the lottery.
