Steve’s Nomadic Journey Begins After Years Of Local Joy
For years, Steve Braithwaite and the Big Banana Car have been an iconic symbol in Michigan; however, both Steve and the Big Banana Car are preparing to leave Michigan for good.
That doesn’t mean that Steve and his Big Banana Car won’t be visiting Michigan, but he will be moving out of the state and becoming a permanent nomad on the road, living his life, giving rides in his Big Banana Car.
This is something that Steve said is his biggest passion, which led to the decision to leave Michigan and permanently hit the road.
In a recent Facebook post in a recent video, he announced that, he shared that he would be selling all of his belongings in his barn workshop, as you can see below:
Rather big news. I'm about to become a full-time, nomadic, banana car driver. This means I'll be selling everything I own and hitting the road. As you'll see in the video, I have a huge selection of tools and they all must go. Many are sought-after vintage tools that I cherish dearly, but the time has come for them to find a new home. Steve is a wonderful guy, and the joy he brings people by giving them rides in his big banana car will never be forgotten here in Kalamazoo. We wish him all the best of luck on this wild new adventure and hope to see him from time to time here in his home.
