The "Motor City Madman" endorsed "Detroit's Drink" in this 1980s television commercial.

You can't get more Michigan than this: Ted Nugent shilling for Vernors. Watch as Uncle Ted arrives backstage with his crew to find shrimp, caviar, sushi, steak tar-tar (naturally), and an elegant ice sculpture- everything you need for an extravagant evening, right? Not quite. Ted collars the chef as askes poor Pierre, "Where's the good stuff?"

Anyone who knows a little about Ted Nugent knows he is vehemently against drug use. In this case, the "good stuff" is a classic made-in-Michigan soft drink. Ted gleefully skips to the cooler to find Vernors on ice and declares, "Now I'm ready to rock & roll!"
