One of the most anticipated movies of the year stars Jack Black and Cate Blanchett called "The House With A Clock In It's Walls".  It's based on a children's gothic mystery book by John Bellaires and takes place in a town called New Zebedee on the banks of the Kalamazoo river.  Well, we know now that the real town is Marshall and they are planning a huge party when the movie comes out the weekend of September 21st.

Not only is Marshall the late author's hometown, the actual home er, a house with a clock in it's walls is in Marshall as well.  As we discovered in an article in the Chicago Tribune, the house is an Italianate-style home with a tall turret built in the 1870s for a wealthy merchant family.  Known as the Cronin House it is the inspiration for the house in the book and now the movie.  Check out what it looks like and get more details by clicking HERE.  Or better yet, go see it!  It's over in Marshall for cripe sake.
