No talent is required, just a healthy amount of the holiday spirit to help those in need during the Christmas season and ring bells for the Salvation Army.

You know all those people that you see outside of the mall or grocery stores during the holiday season ringing bells with the Salvation Army red kettles? Well, if you didn't know, those people are all volunteers. The red kettle fundraising season is about to get underway and the Salvation Army- Kalamazoo wants you to be in the band. Many shifts are available at retailers all over the Kalamazoo/ Portage/ Plainwell/ Richland/ Vickburg area including:

  • Big Lots
  • Blain's Farm & Fleet
  • D & W
  • Family Fare
  • Harding's
  • Hobby Lobby
  • JC Penney
  • Macy's
  • Sam's Club
  • The Crossroads Mall
  • Sam's Club

Anyone who signs up for a shift gets to feel good and have a chance to win something (but you know that's not what this is really about). Good news for givers: you can now use Apple Pay and Google Pay to give digitally at the kettle.
