Many are still somewhat shocked that Art Van Furniture suddenly announced they were closing all of their stores in the United States.  The latest has Art Van one step closer to closing for good as they officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sunday night.  The filing concluded an extremely busy weekend. Turnout was so high, stores had to temporarily close over the weekend so workers could reorganize and restock.  Nevertheless, it will soon be over and former Art Van employees will be looking for new jobs.

That's where Value City furniture comes in.  According to wxyz.com, Value City Furniture is responding to the sudden and impending job loss of Art Van employees after the company announced it would be shuttering stores nationwide.  Value city Furniture will be setting up interviews, hiring for all positions and will be making offers on the spot.  Right now, interviews will take place in the Detroit area but are expected to be available state-wide.
