Special Veteran's Day Ceremony Planned in Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo Veterans Day Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at Rose Park Veterans Memorial (East Michigan Ave. at Kings Highway).

Speakers, music and poetry to honor those who have served with participants including honor guards from the United States Marine Corps, the Kalamazoo County Sherriff's Department Reserve Division and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

This year's featured guest speaker is Mike Quinn, Chairperson of the Kalamazoo County Veterans Affairs Committee. Mike is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and past member of the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners.
