Lets start by proclaiming that the best county in Michigan should always be one found in S.W. Michigan.  Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we can proceed with as much objectivity as possible.  But wait!  We don't have to be objective.  The so-called experts do, so lets lay it all on them.  Lets also take in to consideration that the criteria they used may not be what everyone considers important.  Here we go...

The Money and Travel people at msn.com decided to list the best county in which to live in every state and here in Michigan it's Leelanau County which includes Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.  Their criteria consisted of 4 factors:

> 5-yr. population change: -0.5% (state: +0.3%)
> Poverty rate: 7.7% (state: 15.6%)
> Adults with a bachelor's degree: 40.8% (state: 28.1%)
> Life expectancy: 83.1 years (state: 78.3 years)

So basically, there are less people, they're less poor, they're smarter and live longer.  BFD!!!  We have craft Beer!!!
