What Not To Do On World Naked Gardening Day In Kalamazoo
The first Saturday in May is 'World Naked Gardening Day." Here's a little advice before you grab your hoe.
#1. Careful what plant life you put near your parts. Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Poison Sumac and Wood Nettle can put a rash on your butt and a damper on your #WNGD. Get a full list of poisonous plants from Everyday Health by clicking here.
#2. Don't get too thorny. In the 80's Poison taught us "Every Rose Has It's Thorn." But roses aren't the only thorny members of the kingdom Plantae that you need to watch out for.
In fact, Michigan is full of thorny trees according to Hunker.com. Douglas hawthorns and Cockspur Hawthorns can mess you up while naked.
#3. Careful where you hang your plants. Make sure you are mounting your hanging blossoms on a load bearing structure.
#4. Do not operate heavy machinery while under the influence. Michigan is known for it's craft beer and delicious wineries. But y ou could hurt yourself and maybe even be arrested. On the bright side it would be a hilarious mug shot am I right? But yeah, don't do that.
#5. Don't skip the water! Hydration is important for both you and your vegetation. You have a hose for a reason. Use it.
