It seems like Detroit just can't catch a break.  Despite all the progress that's been made to turn things around, there's always another fly in the ointment.  I can remember the plans that were proposed some 10-15 years ago that would've brought this once great city back to prominence in a way that would be unrecognizable to the previous incarnation.  There was even talk that the progress might make it one of the great comeback stories of the 21st century.  So where are those plans?

I think we all imagined that the new arena downtown would be the start of the re-birth and it could very well be but according to an article on clickondetroit.com there may be more disappointment first.  Apparently, Little Caesar's Arena holds unfulfilled promises which will be exposed on HBO's "Real Sports" due to air on Tuesday.  It seems the District Detroit neighborhood was supposed to be part of the whole deal and things got a little fishy.  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
