Wolverine Basketball Game Vs NC State Postponed Due To Covid-19

Chalk up another win for Covid-19. University of Michigan basketball program announced earlier today that their game scheduled for Wednesday versus North Carolina State has been postponed due to Covid-19 related concerns within the wolfpack program.

NC State was forced to cancel its Saturday game after a traveling member of the program was found to have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

In a statement released earlier the University wanted it made clear that the University of Michigan is following all Covid-19 related protocol, restrictions and guidelines:

“Michigan has continued to follow the Big Ten protocols and remains healthy with no current COVID-related issues,” - University of Michigan statement

Michigan head coach Juwan Howard added this on the matter:

Far too often have I had to say we are all living in unprecedented times,” Michigan head coach Juwan Howard said in a statement. “Our main concern is the health and safety of Coach (Kevin) Keatts, his players as well as all of those within the N.C. State program. “It is unfortunate we have to postpone this ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchup. It would have been fun. However, we must do what is right, and this is the right thing to do for everyone" - MLive

The game was to have been Michigan's annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge game. The first this year, Michigan and NC State will try and pursue a rescheduling of the game at a later date according to a statement released by the University Of Michigan earlier today.
