When I first heard that Van Halen was releasing a new live album featuring David Lee Roth on vocals I was excited.  We are finally getting Dave on a live album.  This was great news until I heard the version of "Panama" from this new album.

In fact I have heard a handful of songs from "Tokyo Dome In Concert" and wonder what they were thinking with this show.  I saw them in Chicago a few years back and Dave wasn't perfect but his voice was way better at that show.  For whatever reason this is the show they decided to release.

The band I have no complaint on they are great, but I have no idea what Dave was doing on these songs.  I unfortunately will not be getting a hold of this album.  I hope at least with this live album  it will get them to hit the studio for another studio album.

"A Different Kind of Truth" had some good songs and I think many people would of rather have seen a follow up than this live album.  What's your thoughts on this new live album?
