One of my all time favorite bands is Pearl Jam.  From the time I first heard "Jeremy",  I have always enjoyed the band's music.  Today in 1998 one of my favorite albums of Pearl Jam's, "Yield" was released.

It took me awhile to get into this album.  At the time of it's release, I was going through a big Jazz and Blues phase.  I graduated from college and Pearl Jam was a band I loved, I was just listening to a lot of different music at the time.

I think it was once I started to actually work at my first job in radio, that I finally was won over by the album.  From start to finish it's a classic album for me.

"Given To Fly", "Do The Evolution", "In Hiding" and "Wishlist" were the big songs from "Yield".   My personal favorite is the song, "Faithfull" and the last song on the album, "All Those Yesterdays".

I love that all the songs were from Jeff, Stone, Eddie and Mike and even their drummer at the time, Jack Irons contributed.

When most think of Pearl Jam, they think of their first two or three albums.   I think "Yield" should be right there as one of their best.

Underrated by many, but a great rock record that wrapped up the 1990's for a band that is still going strong today.
