Stefani’s Surprise

Over the years, I've gotten my fair share of surprises from listeners.  A nice old man used to bring me an Easter goodie bag every spring.  A farmer and his daughter brought in cheese direct from their farm.  One listener even ventured in to the Appalachians to get me authentic moonshine.  But nothing prepared me for this...

Just after I got off the air this morning, I got an email saying that when I got the chance, I should come up to the front; a listener dropped something off for me.  Is it a band t-shirt?  Information on a local charity event?  A stick?  Could be anything, really!

I was so taken aback when I saw this:

For those of you not privy to theater, this is a poster from the Broadway musical "Dr. Doolittle" signed by the whole cast, including the star, Tommy Tune.  If you don't know who Tommy Tune is, click here to get some learnin'.

Yup.  That's Tommy Tune's signature.

Joan, I don't know what to say.  Thank you so much for such a wonderful surprise. Don't you worry, it's in good hands... but I suppose you already knew that.  Cheers!
