10 of The Silliest City Names in Michigan

Being in radio all of my life, it’s been like being in the military, I moved a lot. All over the country. I’ve learned that every city has at least one street name that is pronounced differently than it’s spelled.

Many of our cities also share that trait with their names, for instance, Charlotte. In North Carolina it’s pronounced the way it’s spelled. In Michigan, if you pronounce it the way they do down south, everybody will know you are not from the area. That’s a fairly normal name for a city. One thing we are not lacking in our great state of Michigan is some really silly city names.

Let’s take a little trip through 10 of the silliest city names (not the city itself) we’ve found for our state.
