Over the past few years, My Wife and I have decided to try to see as many Major League Baseball Stadiums that we can.  Our on recent Spring Break trip to Florida, we checked out Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg and Turner Field in Atlanta.

I didn't know what to expect with Tropicana Field.  I have heard stories that it is the worst stadium in baseball. If it is not the worst it is near the bottom.

We went there on a Tuesday night and watched the Rays take on the Toronto Blue Jays.   You can say that there were more Jays fans than Rays there.   I am guessing that is usual seeing that the Rays have only been around since 1998.

There are some good things about the stadium.  Parking is easy, it is easy to get around the stadium.  I also liked the various food choices they had.

One thing unique to the stadium is the ray touch tank where you can touch sting rays.  They also have the Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame. I was surprised to see a few Tigers legends featured in there.

There wasn't much I didn't like about, "The Trop".  Other than the look, the atmosphere was lacking. Fans never seemed to be that into the game.  The look of the dome  reminded me a little of the old Silverdome.

I have been to Turner Field once that was in 1996 when it was the Olympic Stadium.  This would be the first time to see a Braves Game there.   We saw the Braves take on the Cardinals.

Many Cardinals fans were in attendance but they didn't over power the home fans.   The fans still do the Tomahawk chop though out the game. Totally different vibe to Turner Field than what there was in Florida.

I liked this stadium as it reminds me a lot of Comerica Park.  Good food choices, in fact they had a thing called the, "Burgerizza".  It is two pizzas used as a bun with a burger in the middle.  I didn't have any desire to try it plus it cost over $20 bucks.

I'm glad my Wife and I had the chance to visit Turner Field.  This season is the last for the Braves there  as they are building a new stadium near Smyrna, Georgia.   In Fact, the Tigers will be the last team to play there unless the Braves make the playoffs.

I enjoyed visiting both stadiums and hope to make it to a few more stadiums later this summer.
