The Air Zoo, has partnered with the Society of Women Engineers to present the 2020 Corporate Engineering Challenge, Saturday, February 15th! Open to girls ages 9-12, this event is designed to introduce young girls to engineering concepts through activities, presentations and talks from female engineers, and collaboration on a challenge team. Thanks to support from corporate sponsors, this event is free to the participants.

The 2020 Corporate Engineering Challenge is comprised of two parts:

  • Display stations from sponsors including demonstrations of products and services and an engineering, science, or math activity to complete.
  • The Challenge... teams of 6 to 8 girls will complete a technical challenge, competing against opposing teams. What type of challenge? Glad you asked. Last year's was the construction of a moon rover. Participants had to combat the impact of gravity as well as give their rover the ability to explore the moon. Each team is led by a representative of a company sponsor.

Registration starts January 10th! Get all the information you need for the 2020 Corporate Engineering Challenge at the Air Zoo, Saturday, February 15th from 9:00am to 3:00pm by clicking here.
