An unfortunate situation has occurred that will sadly cause one of the biggest guests to the Grand Rapids Comic Con to be unable to attend.

Amy Jo Johnson, lovingly known as Kimberly from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was set to be one of the guests at Grand Rapids, but a family emergency and tragedy have, unfortunately, made her decide to stay home during her difficult time.

As she put out a special video to those who are looking forward to meeting her at Grand Rapids Comic Con, she let everyone know it was a hard decision to make, but the right one in her heart:

So yeah, I can’t go to Grand Rapids con this weekend, my grandma passed away. She was 104, kind of amazing. I really just want to go be with my family. So, I don’t know. I feel like, life is just so precious, right? So I’m gonna go be with family this weekend, I’m so sorry. I’m gonna try to hopefully come next year. I know Austin St. John is going to go in my place. I’m so sorry, guys, I’m following my heart right now.

Although it is unfortunate that she won’t be there, it will be cool that another Power Ranger will be stepping in to take her place, which is pretty expected, as many people consider Austin to be the best Red Ranger of all time.

He will be there to answer questions, sign autographs, take pictures, and hear stories about how his fans grew up watching the Power Rangers.
