We all know the story: band kicks singer out of band, gets new singer; old singer forms new band and calls it "(insert singer's name)(insert original band name)."  This has happened with Great White, LA Guns, Queensryche, and now it's happening with Venom.

For the last decade, Venom has consisted solely of original singer/bassist Cronos.  Well, original guitarist, Jeff "Mantas" Dunn, and drummer, Anthony "Abaddon" Bray, decided they wanted to form their own version of Venom, and recruited singer/bassist, Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan, who replaced Cronos in the late 80s.

According to Blabbermouth, Venom Inc. are going to to play the classic Venom songs until they release new music.

Now, here's my rant: why form a new version of Venom?  We already have one version of the band.  Why not just call the band something else, like "Sons of Satan", or "Satan > God" and play some classic Venom tunes until you get original material?  You're confusing the fans, Venom Inc!

Here's an idea for a sweet festival; get LA Guns, Queensryche, Great White, and Venom to play one night, and Venom Inc, Geoff Tate's Queensryche (now called Operation Mindcrime), Jack Russell's Great White, and the Tracii Guns version of LA Guns, to play the next!
