The last thing you would expect to see in San Diego is a 1990s retro Taco Bell that has been transformed into a hangout spot completely dedicated to Michigan products.

But that’s what you get with Angry Pete’s pizza in San Diego, where they have completely renovated the inside of an old Taco Bell to pay tribute to all things Michigan, and with some other fun things implemented inside.

A video posted on Facebook from Colin McConnell shows his experience of going inside this Detroit-themed restaurant, which was started by friends who once lived in Michigan, and apparently have the plug on all the local goodies:

In San Diego, there is a Detroit themed restaurant in an old Taco Bell. Angry Petes Pizza brings some Michigan vibes to San Diego. I met up with a couple dozen of my friends that transplanted to San Diego, and watched as they enjoy the taste of home.

Inside, you’ll find everything from Better-Made chips to Detroit-style pizza, which can be enjoyed on the old-school Taco Bell tables. The inside is still designed like the late 90s with the pink, teal, and purple colors.

They also have a bunch of arcade games like Mortal Kombat II, Galaga, and NFL Blitz. Of course, when it comes to giving your beverage on, they have it fully stocked with Vernors (in a glass bottle) and Faygo as well as Michigan craft beers. It also wouldn’t be a Michigan-themed restaurant without Coney dogs available to order as well.

Abandoned Northern Indiana Taco Bell in Pristine Condition

An urban explorer stumbled upon a Taco Bell somewhere in Northern Indiana that's been abandoned for decades. Amazingly, the interior is in very well kept condition.
