With all the talk of the legalization of marijuana, CNN Legal "expert" Nancy Grace decided to weigh in on the subject.  During a "discussion" on the News Room she had this to say:

“When I’m at work, I don’t want my babysitter high on pot,” Grace said.  “The ones that are disagreeing are lethargic, sitting on the sofa eating chips. Pot, it makes you fat and lazy,” she said.

She also said something to the effect that you don't want somebody taking care of your children; cooking, lighting a fire in the fireplace if they're high... Watch here.

I agree that I wouldn't want my babysitter to be high.  But I also don't want them to be drunk.  She seems to imply that weed is much more dangerous than alcohol because in most states, and federally, it is illegal.

We could get into the studies comparing weed to liquor and the effects on the human system.  From my observations, it seems more detrimental results occur when someone is drunk.  And I'm not sure I'm buying weed as a "gateway" drug.

For the record, I don't smoke marijuana but I know people who do and most of them are successful, "high" functioning individuals who are good parents and positive contributors in their communities who don't spend every waking hour wasted.

I wonder what the arrogant & ignorant would be saying if pot were legal and booze illegal?
