Auto & RV have announced that they printed and digitally published their very last publication for Indiana and Michigan.

For years now, since the early 90s, growing up in Michigan on your way out of a store, it would be hard not to see the Michigan Auto & RV and Detroit Auto & RV magazines on the rack for you to take and browse if you were in the market for a new vehicle.

For the last 33 years, Indiana Auto & RV expanded to include magazines published in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and eventually expanded into urban editions like Detroit, Indianapolis, Memphis, and Nashville.

However, they recently thanked their followers for the last 33 years of publications, but announced that although it was an incredible journey, their time has come to move on.

They claim that publishing and printing have taken a heavy financial toll, and that the cost of personal sales contact, graphic design for hundreds of pages, the printing and binding of thousands of books to be shipped out statewide from store to store by a massive team of independent carriers has made it impossible to continue.

They faced a very tough challenge with the digital world taking over, but still showed their love for the people who kept them in business and continued to support their printed and digital presence. It’s gonna be strange, not seeing those magazines piled near the entrance of businesses anymore, but ultimately they have to do it, as the family sent their well wishes to all the representatives and supporters:

We certainly appreciate and thank all of our readers who have enjoyed our publications and our advertisers who have hopefully profited by promoting their business here over the years. Thank you for 33 amazing years of enjoying our auto and RV publications, beginning in 1993 with Indiana Auto & RV.
