One of the most memorable home runs hit in World Series History was Kirk Gibson's pinch hit home run in Game One of the 1988 World Series.   Recently those involved gather to recall that legendary hit.

According to MLB.com, Kirk Gibson, Dennis Eckersley of the A's, Orel Hershiser of the Dodgers and Tony LaRussa, then manager of the A's and emcee Billy Crystal gathered at the Hotel Bel-Air to re-live that historic home run.

The group got together for MLB Chief baseball officer and hall of fame manager Joe Torre, who hosted the event with his wife,  to raise funds for his Safe At Home Foundation, which provides support for children exposed to violence in their household.

The group talked about that game and the events that led up to the historic home run off the bat of Gibson.
