The long wait times in the ER (my mom was admitted at 5pm yesterday ((July 20th)) and still doesn’t have a room, coupled with staffing shortages and bed availability issues, is causing significant concern among myself, patients and their families. Witnessing healthcare professionals express uncertainty about patient care can be alarming, and it’s important for everyone to feel confident in their treatment.

He went on to express strong concerns for the future patients of Beacon in Kalamazoo:

The current state of our healthcare system is indeed troubling, and it’s crucial that steps are taken to address these concerns, ensuring that patients receive the quality care they need and deserve. I’m highlighting my current experience and the urgent need for improvements and support within the system.

Have you experienced troubling care during the transition period of Borgess switching over to Beacon? It's concerning that this could be a regular thing going forward, and that there are growing pressures on the staff.

Hopefully, the transition begins to improve for the welfare of patients and staff alike.
