There's a horror movie that is currently in the Top Trending Horror movies section of Tubi, which was filmed entirely in Michigan. The film Bone Hill debuted in local theaters in 2025, but has made its way to the largest free-streaming platforms, Tubi.

The film stars Roger Callard, Abby R Mooring, James Whitecloud, Jeremy Koch, and Scott T. Whitesell, and was directed by Daniel Falicki, as Tubi sets up the premise of the film:

A woman who entered Bone Hill and left stark-raving mad sends a shrink on an investigation of a backwoods Michigan town and its Indian burial ground.

As Horror Screams Video Vault highlighted, the film gives respect to the original inhabitants of the area, while also being filmed in quite a few Southwest Michigan cities:

The production marks a significant collaboration between Michigan filmmakers and the local Indigenous community. Screenwriter Wil Radcliffe worked closely with cultural advisors from the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi to ensure the film’s depiction of history, language, and lore remained authentic and respectful. This commitment to realism extends to the filming locations, as director Daniel Falicki utilized the atmospheric landscapes of Kalamazoo, Climax, and Battle Creek to ground the supernatural events in a tangible, lived-in reality.

They filmed in multiple locations, including Territorial Brewing in Battle Creek back in 2023, before finally being released in 2025. When you watch it, see if you can recognize some of the locations where they shot the film, the majority of which was filmed in Climax.

It's great to see a Michigan-made movie doing so well.
