This Is One of The Coolest Christmas Lounges In The State

Getting closer to the holiday spirit people are going to be in full Christmas mode getting into this weekend. Thursday is the last big day of spooky season as Halloween has somehow crept up on us, but expect everything to go Christmas mode come this Friday.

There will be lots of holiday shops, pop-ups, DIY markets, and holiday events coming in the next few weeks that will keep us busy getting into Thanksgiving time. One of the coolest shops in the entire state actually takes place in Detroit and is a place that I’ve been to before.

At Campus Martius in Detroit, they go all out every single year with a giant Christmas tree, ice-skating rink, and the Cadillac Lounge. The skating rink is a lot of fun but when you go on a day when hundreds of people are skating, it makes it almost impossible to skate after five minutes, as so much snow is been kicked up off of the ice, it makes it very difficult to maintain a solid speed.

But the Cadillac Lounge is where the real fun is, with live music and a Christmasy atmosphere decorated with trees and lights. It’s decorated with comfortable seating and really makes you feel like you’re in a cabin for the winter.

They also serve drinks and snacks and has really become a tradition around the holidays in downtown Detroit. Basically, it’s a family-friendly pop-up that allows you to warm up from the cold with the family while playing board games and relaxing fireplaces.

It’s one of the places you want to check out around the holidays. It’s located at 60 Campus Martius in Detroit. It’s open for the season on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11 AM to 8 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM.
