There were some incredible spots that we frequented as kids to celebrate birthdays in Michigan growing up. Major Magics was a stellar fun center for kids, much like Showbiz Pizza.

But for a brief period of time, there was a place that was started by the Michigan pizza chain, Little Caesars, called Caesarland, and the one I remember, Little Caesars Family Fun Pizzaeria.

This place was very interesting because there are so many people throughout Michigan who thought that Caesarland was only something that was created from a fever dream. But the reality of it was too real for us who grew up eating Little Caesars.

Much like Chuck E. Cheese, Caesarland was just one of a few different types of family, fun places themed around Little Caesars pizza, which offered different fun zones, arcade games, and prizes for kids.

It is strange how, when you go to Little Caesars' website, they don’t mention any of these family, fun places on their history page, but many people have been able to capture footage and keep it through the years.

The video below gives a brief look back at this amazing entertainment venue for kids.

Before they remodeled it Caesarland was awesome. I was in about 7th or 8th grade when they turned it into a neon colored ball pit. They ruined the original feel of the place, which I get as it was dated by the time they remodeled it, and I was too old to enjoy it anyway. My only wish is that somebody recorded the crazy bread attraction. You would push this button, and a cheap animatronic crazy bread would light up laughing. It’s hard to even explain.

I've lived in Michigan my entire life, and growing up, there were some pretty amazing places we got to spend birthday parties and different celebrations at. Everybody knows that Chuck E. Cheese is one of the last remaining places for kids to celebrate.

Sure, we have places like Dave & Buster’s and these massive arcade shops that are making a name for themselves in today’s world. But back when we were kids in the 80s and early 90s, places like Chuck E. Cheese were truly magical places.
