In a recent Facebook post, they put out the warning that parents should be on the lookout for these harmful drugs.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about the growing danger of illegal pills containing the powerful opioid fentanyl that are being disguised to resemble vitamins, candy, or legitimate prescription medications. Law enforcement agencies across the United States have reported seizures of brightly colored tablets and capsules intentionally designed to look like children’s vitamins or over-the-counter supplements.

As they described, the pills may appear harmless but can contain fentanyl or other dangerous narcotics, which, even if taken in very small amounts, can be lethal:

Authorities have recovered pills shaped like cartoon-style logos and similar in size to children’s vitamins. Their candy-like appearance significantly increases the risk that children or teens could accidentally ingest them.

In today’s world, you have to be more careful than ever when it comes to buying things like this that scream danger. They’re urging people to never take any kind of pill or supplement that hasn’t been prescribed by a licensed medical professional.
