For those of you who are huge fans of Michigan cherries, an exciting announcement has been made: a brand new Cherry Republic will be opening soon in Michigan.
Birmingham is set to be the new home of Cherry Republic, which is touted as being true cherry goodness for Michigan’s great Northwest.

Anybody who’s ever been to Cherry Republic before knows that this place is packed with quality and amazing cherry products. Everything from their imperial chocolate, covered cherries, cherry wine, cherry coffee, cherry candies, and so many other great products will soon be available in Birmingham.
Detroit Free Press reported on this exciting new addition to the neighborhood, which members of the community can learn more about if they pay for the information through their paywall:
Josh And Jase Are Heading Back To Michigan This Summer
Cherry Republic, a notable retailer of all things cherries, is opening a location in downtown Birmingham. Signs for Cherry Republic, an up-north Michigan retailer and mail-order outfit born in quaint Glen Arbor decades ago, are in the window of the former Detroit Guitar store at 243 W. Maple in Birmingham. The location is next to West Elm and between Henrietta and South Bates streets.
Birmingham By Design expressed their excitement for the opening while showing love for the former tenants:
We were sad to see Detroit Guitar go – they were one of the coolest retailers in Downtown – but happy for them to get more space, parking and a fantastic-looking new home. Now we’re also happy to see Cherry Republic moving in. This is most definitely a win-win-win for all.
