The Cubs fans haven't had much to cheer about in recent years.  This year the team is on the verge of being in the playoffs.  Another milestone last night as Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta threw a no hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

I have always been a Detroit Tigers fan, but the Cubs are one of the teams in the National League that I like to see do well.  I haven't watched too many Cubs games  this season.  I did see one game.  That was the game I was lucky enough to see in Pittsburgh when the Cubs shut out the Pirates.  Who pitched that game?  It was Jake Arrieta.

He has been a dominant pitcher for the Cubs this season and it was great to see him no hit the Dodgers.  The Cubs will more than likely end up in the wild card game and I think Jake Arrieta just made his case to start that game.  He might have just made himself the front runner for the Cy Young Award as well.
