There is a good chance you have already seen multi-talented Michigan musician Katelynn Corll performing on stage. Now this Thursday, May 27th, you can watch her on TV. Katelynn will be playing drums for Detroit singer-songwriter Chloe Moriondo on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (11:35 PM).

I had the pleasure of meeting Katelynn when she was playing drums for Flint's own Avalon Black. I remember seeing her perform with the band for the first time at The Machine Shop, and was blown away. Katelynn is a multi-instrumentalist who has also played with Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils, Stone Clover, and Wolf and the Crane.

According to Katelynn, some gigs have involved tours, or a year's worth of shows or more, while others can be short-term as a last-minute fill-in gig. As you can see - this woman can adapt.

Katelynn has been playing music since the age of 4 (I was probably still eating boogers at four years old). Not only is Katelynn an accomplished drummer, she plays guitar, bass and sings. Get this - right now she is learning to play bagpipes.

Although her reputation speaks for itself, I asked Katelynn how she first connected with Chloe Moriondo,

'I just met Chloe for the first time last June. So I've known her and have been working with her for close to a year now. She is so kind, down to earth, and inspiring. I look up to her in a lot of ways, as well as my other band mates Ally Evenson and Alex Maniak. We've been practicing and working together behind the scenes both in person and through numerous zoom calls for almost a year.'

Chloe Moriondo just released a new album called 'Blood Bunny', you can find it on Spotify and all other streaming platforms. You can check out upcoming tour dates here.

Congratulation to Chloe, Katelynn, and the entire band. I cannot wait to watch you all on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.
