Looking for a way to get your 4th and 5th grader on the slopes?  "Cold is Cool" is a program that allows kids a chance to ski for free.

According to MSIA,  the "Cold Is Cool" program was set up to get 4th and 5th grade students out and get healthy this winter.

4th and 5th grade students can ski for free at participating ski areas around Michigan.  Kids just need to have a Ski and Ride passport that allows up to three free lift tickets or trail passes.   The passport is good to use at over 25 participating areas which includes Bittersweet and Timber Ridge locally.

It cost $20 bucks for the passport( the cost is to cover printing and shipping).  Along with the lift tickets, there are also coupons that can be used at ski shops, as well as for equipment, rentals and discounted lessons across the state.

To get your passport and for more details you can check out The MSIA Site here.  The site also has the full list of participating ski areas.
