Well this is something you don't see everyday or any day.  I can't remember the last time we actually were in line for a refund.  Our tax refunds were certainly disappointing this last time around.  I will say this though, Consumers Energy has always been pretty good about helping out with energy conservation.  When I insulated my attic a few years ago I got quite a good rebate.  Now it looks like refunds all around.

wlns.com reports that the Michigan Public Service Commission approved the refunds to electricity and natural gas customers due to the 2017 Federal tax cuts and Jobs Act which lowered corporate tax rates from 35% to 21%.  I don't know if they wanted to or are required to pass on the savings to customers but we'll take it, right?  The refund isn't much to the average household but it's better than nothing.  Get more information by clicking HERE.
