Portage Has A New Korean Fried Chicken Restaurant, Dak Good

There are so many great chicken restaurants in the Kalamazoo area, but there is one that has now taken a step away from the rest of the pack and is offering something truly unique.

The place is called Dak Good and is a fried chicken restaurant with a Korean kick. The restaurant itself features appetizers like potstickers, Korean corn dogs, and bao buns. They also have Ramen, fried rice, and bibimbap, to go along with their Korean fried chicken.

Recently a content creator, Feed Me, KZoo, was invited inside to taste and try some of their menu items at their new location at 5317 S. Westnedge Ave in Portage.

I think I just found my new go-to spot. These wings? Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. I got half spicy, and half soy garlic, and I cannot stop thinking about that soy garlic sauce.

She went on to describe the experience as great not only for the chicken but for the sides as well.

The fried rice and the edamame were delicious. Plus the vibe inside was super fun and welcoming. You can dine in, grab Carey out, or use their self-service kiosk for a quick takeout.

I've never had Korean-inspired chicken wings before, but I have to imagine these things are dangerous. The fact that I'm familiar with the other menu items and am a big fan, is a clear indicator this place is gonna have a strong opening month.

The new location is located northbound on Westnedge and is open every day of the week.
