This weekend we will finally get to see a pair of Tigers greats enter the Hall of Fame as Alan Trammell and Jack Morris are inducted into Baseball Of Fame on Sunday.

The Tigers teammates will join Vladimir Guerrero, Chipper Jones, Trevor Hoffman and Jim Thome as the Class of 2018 in Cooperstown.

This is a moment that I personally thought we would never see as both Trammell and Morris never received enough votes from the writers to make it in.   It took the Modern Baseball Era Committee to elect the pair to the hall.

Alan Trammell was one of my all time favorite Tigers players.  No matter what game I watched, if he was in the starting lineup I was always excited to see what he would do on the field.

Jack Morris was a player I enjoyed during his time in Detroit but also when he was in Minnesota and Toronto.  One of my all time favorite games was Game 7 of the 1991 World Series.  The series was the Atlanta Braves against the Minnesota Twins.

The pitching match up was between Jack Morris and Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz.  The game ended up going 10 innings with the Twins getting the 1-0 win and the World Series title. Two greats going head to head with Jack Morris getting the win.

I am excited to see both of these Tigers greats enter the hall and will be watching their speeches on Sunday.  Congrats to both and to all of those individuals who will be inducted on Sunday.

If you want to check out the ceremony this weekend it will be shown live on MLB Network Sunday at 1:30 p.m.  For more details on the Baseball Hall Of Fame you can check out their website here.
