It looks to be a different atmosphere in Lakeland this spring for The Tigers.  Unless you make the trip to Florida this spring your best bet to see how the team is, is by watching their games.

According to the Tigers,  there will be 7 games televised this spring on Fox Sports Detroit.

These games are towards the back end of the schedule.  Starting with the March 11th game with The Braves.   The schedule will also include their final home spring game and the St. Patrick's Day game against the New York Yankees.  The team opens their spring schedule February 23rd against the Yankees.

It will be interesting to see how new manager Ron Gardenhire does with the regular players as well as with some of the new players picked up last year.  I am also curious to see how some of the minor league talent picked up over the off season does and if they can make an impact.

I personally think the team is a bit better than they were last year.  They won't be a playoff team but I think they can be a surprise.

We will see when the season officially starts March 29th at Comerica Park against the Pirates.
