Detroit Zoo Lions Caught Fighting On Video By Visitors

Visitors at the Detroit Zoo recently got more than they expected after watching a scary altercation between a lion and multiple lionesses biting and fighting with each other.

It’s not super uncommon to see wild animals. Let tensions get the best of them, especially when they are in an enclosed environment like at a zoo, considering these kinds of altercations happen in the wild as well.

But a visit to the zoo is supposed to be peaceful and relaxing, so when you’re watching lions biting each other and fighting it can be a bit of cause for concern.

Luckily for the guests and the lions who are in the altercation, this is a very normal thing, as the Detroit Crime Daily group reposted a video that a visitor of the zoo had taken of the fight going down:

Visitors at the Detroit Zoo got more than they expected after a group of lions appeared to get into a heated altercation inside their habitat. Video shared online shows the male lion and several lionesses aggressively interacting, drawing reactions from guests watching through the glass. While it may look alarming, lion experts say these types of confrontations can be part of normal social behavior involving dominance, territory, food, or pride dynamics.

I think anybody who was at the zoo during this altered location actually got to see a rare thing. Most of the time the animals there are either sleeping or lying around or not doing a damn thing, so the fact that they got to watch lions scrapping with each other is pretty sweet.
