Residents in Dowagiac, Michigan, are doing everything they can to push back against Hyperscale Data, as the noise being produced by the data center is becoming unbearable and starting to create problems.
Recently, News Channel 3 WWMT visited some residents in Dowagiac to find out just how bad the data center has become for their everyday lives.

Dowagiac residents are pushing back against plans to expand a noisy AI data center. Hyperscale Data, an AI and bitcoin company, says it's reached an agreement to more than double its campus, saying the need for AI is exploding. News Channel 3 spoke to some locals who say they are fed up with the unescapable noise near their homes.
Terry Raab has every right to be concerned as the noise has seriously affected the value of his home:
In the summertime, we like to have our windows open, and it’s hard to when you’re listening to that all the time.
When asked about how the noise affected the value of his home, he confirmed he is quite concerned:
I worry about that, the property value, because if we want to resell the house who’s gonna want to buy the house with that noise. No one‘s gonna want to buy. They’ll be like "nah, we ain’t moving there."
Channel 3 asked him if the data center has done anything to the city, and even he couldn’t come up with anything that it’s done positively for the local community. Do you think this data center is gonna push people to leave Dowagiac?
