Ducks Make Pit Stop In Fly’s Yard In Battle Creek

This Memorial Day Weekend was hot and many did what they had to do to stay cool. Two of our feather friends decided to use my yard as a rest stop.

After being out for most of the day,  My wife and I were getting dinner ready when I looked outside my front door and saw these two ducks sitting in my front yard.

It is strange because I don't have any water in my yard,  the nearest pond is a few blocks away.

I also don't have any  shade in my front yard.   No idea why these two decided to stop.  The only thing I could think of is that they were out flying around and decided to stop and take a break.

The brown duck looked like it was trying to cool down so I assume that is why they were there.

As it became darker out, I looked out and they were gone.  They more than likely took off and headed down the street towards the water.

This is the first time ever I have had ducks in my yard.  I'm curious to see if they will ever come back.
